Enemy for Dinner

Carol  -Wow, this is, um, good.

Barbara  -You really like it?

Carol  -Um, yeeaah, why are you so surprised?  

Barbara  -Oh just wondering, some people say I’m not a very good cook.

Carol -Uhh huh..I’m sure. Or did you poison it?

Barbara -Why would I do that? We are trying to settle everything, remember?

Carol -Yes, but we had so many fights in the past, I wouldn’t exactly be shocked if you did.

Barbara -You are saying I would try to poison you?!? I am a grown woman! Maybe as a child, but not now!

Carol-  *cough cough* You did poison it!!!

Barbara -How could you think that?! You just coughed!

Carol -I know you did! Look at the grin on your face!

Barbara  -You think this is really a grin!? This is not a grin!

Carol-  I think you are trying to kill me! After all these years you try to kill me now!? I have a family!

Barbara-  We are trying to get along!  I’m not trying to kill you!

Carol  -Oh no, see you were thinking that, and then I bet you thought- Oh no, it would be so much easier to kill ol’ Carol off!

Barbara-No I was not thinking that! But I’m starting too...

Carol-*gasp*  You are a disgrace to mankind!

Barbara-*gasp* You are the disgrace! NOT me!

Carol-You wanna go?

Barbara- Ummm, yeah. I really do!

Carol-Bring it!

Barbara-HAAA!

Carol- Get that fork away from me!

Barbara- Not until you get off of me!

Carol- If I do you’ll stab me!

Barbara- Just deal with it then!!

Carol- Never!

Barbara- *battle cry*

*Jerry enters home*

Jerry-WHOA WHOA WHOA ladies! What is going on here?!

*Barbara and Carol quit fighting and sit down in their chairs*

Jerry- Why are you to rolling around on top of each other, and trying to stab each other with forks?!

Barbara- We were just trying to settle an argument, dear.

Carol- Just the way girls do it!

Jerry- What kind of argument was this?

Barbara- Well it was a little story Carol made-

Carol- no- Barbara tried to poison me!

Jerry- Carol, we do not keep poison in this home.

Carol- Oh, she did, she even said she wanted to kill me!

Barbara- I didn’t say that!

Carol- Yes you did!

Barbara- No I didn’t!

Carol- Yes you-

Jerry- That is enough girls! Carol, I would like you to leave, and not come back to our home.

Carol- My pleasure...

*Carol exits home*

Barbara- Oh! Carol! same time next week? At your house though!

Carol- See you then!

Jerry- Women! *exits*
